About Redwing Joinery
Redwing Joinery is an independent joinery workshop run by Dan Byers, producing bespoke timber joinery for homeowners, architects and builders across Devon and further afield.
Dan has worked in joinery since 2012, having left school to start at a well established local joinery company, where he completed his formal training and qualifications. What initially drew him to the trade was the satisfaction of making things by hand and working in a practical, workshop based environment.
Over time, that hands-on experience developed into a deeper understanding of materials, construction, and what makes joinery perform well over the long term.

Redwing Joinery was established as an independent workshop focused on the design and manufacture of bespoke timber joinery. The work centres on traditional construction methods, appropriate material choices, and producing joinery that is built to last.
The satisfaction in the work comes from doing it properly, resolving details carefully, achieving a good fit, and producing joinery that works as it should and lasts. There is a strong focus on accuracy, fit and function throughout, with careful attention given to how the finished work will perform over time.
Dan is known for a calm, thorough and straightforward approach, and for being honest about what is achievable, what isn’t, and what something is likely to cost. Clear communication and well-made work are prioritised throughout the process.
