Terms & Conditions

These terms apply to all work undertaken by Redwing Joinery unless otherwise agreed in writing.

Estimates
All estimates are valid for a period of 30 days unless stated otherwise. estimates are based on the information provided at the time and may be subject to revision if the scope, specification or materials change.

Deposits and Payment Terms
To confirm an order and secure a place in the workshop schedule, a 50% deposit is required. No work will commence until the deposit has been received.

For supply-only work, the remaining balance is due on delivery and inspection of the goods and must be paid before the items are released or unloaded.

For projects involving fitting, payment terms are:

50% deposit to commence work

40% due on delivery

10% due on completion

Late Payment
All invoices are payable within the terms stated. Any overdue amounts may be subject to interest charged at 8% above the Bank of England base rate, in line with the Late Payment of Commercial Debts (Interest) Act 1998.

Redwing Joinery reserves the right to suspend work, withhold delivery or delay completion until outstanding balances are settled.

Ownership of Goods
All goods remain the property of Redwing Joinery until paid for in full.

Delivery and Inspection
Clients are responsible for inspecting goods upon delivery. Any issues or damage must be reported at the time of delivery or within a reasonable period thereafter.

Once goods have been accepted, Redwing Joinery cannot be held responsible for damage caused by handling, storage, installation or site conditions beyond our control.

Fitting and Installation
Where fitting is arranged, it will be carried out using reasonable care and skill. Redwing Joinery cannot be held responsible for defects arising from site conditions, building movement, existing structures or work carried out by others.

Timber and Natural Materials
Timber is a natural material and variations in grain, colour and character are to be expected. Movement due to changes in temperature and humidity is a natural property of wood.

Joinery is designed and manufactured to allow for normal movement; however, ongoing performance depends on appropriate detailing, decoration and maintenance. Redwing Joinery cannot be held responsible for issues arising from inadequate finishing, delayed decoration, lack of maintenance or exposure beyond what was specified at the time of manufacture.

Cancellations
If a project is cancelled after work has commenced, the deposit is non-refundable. Additional costs incurred up to the point of cancellation may be chargeable.

General
Redwing Joinery will always aim to resolve issues fairly and reasonably. These terms are intended to protect both parties and ensure work is carried out clearly and professionally.
